Der genaue Preis jedes Schiffsmodelles hängt ab von den Transportkosten zum Bestimmungsort und der aktuellen Wechselkursrate am Tag des Kaufes. Die auf dieser Homepage angegebenen Preise sind somit als Zirka-Preise zu verstehen (exkl. Mehrwertsteuer). Ein genaues Angebot mit einem Fixpreis erhalten sie jederzeit auf Anfrage. Die Erfahrung hat gezeigt, daß sich der endgültige Preis in 98 % aller Fälle innerhalb der angegebenen Bandbreite bewegt.

Historically, tbe frigate "UNICORN" has left no tales of outstanding war feats nor important enterprises, those which often mark the carrier of a struggler so that he can be remembered even after his death.

All we know is that this ship has been designed by F. H. Chapman for H. M. S. fleet in 1700. On the other hand, we have many accurate datum relating its construction. In fact, F. H. Chapman, member of the Swedish royal academy of sciences in his admirable volume "ARCHITECTURA NAVALIS MERCATORIA" printed in Stockholm in 1768 gives an extremely detailed account of the calculation related to the design of the ship and not only the constructional ones but also those related to the study of hydrodynamic resistances.

All this together with a most beautiful drawing of the frigate, which have been used to develop this model. The results of Chapman hydrodynamic investigations are clearly visible in the lines of the hull which are quite advanced for the time.

Historiquement, la frégate "UNICORN" n'a laissé aucune trace de guerre ni de faits importants qui marquent souvent la carrière d'un combattant, lui permettant d'être reconnu par la postérité.

Tout ce que nous connaissons à propos de ce navire est qu'il fut choisi par F. H. Chapman pour la flotte de sa majesté la reine d'Angleterre en 1700. D'un autre côté, nous possédons de nombreuses informations exactes concernant sa construction. En fait, F. H. Chapman, membre de l'académie royale des sciences suédoises, dans son admirable volume "ARCHITECTURA NAVALIS MERCATORIA", édité à Stockholm en 1768, nous fait part du calcul extrêmement précis du concept du bateau et non seulement au niveau de la construction mais aussi en ce qui concerne les résistanees hydrodynamiques.

L'ensemble comprend un très beau dessin qui nous a été d'une grande utilit pour la réalisation de ce modèle. Les résultats de sa recherche sur l'hydrodynamisme sont évidents surtout au niveau des lignes de la coque qui sont en avance sur l'époque.

Jedes Schiffsmodell ist reine Handarbeit und wird in hunderten Arbeitsstunden hergestellt. Abhängig von der Komplexität des jeweiligen Schiffsmodelles werden 4 - 8 Wochen für die Lieferung benötigt. Die Modelle werden in einer speziell für diesen Zweck entwickelten Sicherheits-Verpackung versandt, wodurch ein sicherer Transport gewährleistet ist und Beschädigungen ausgeschlossen sind.
